Lazy or Content

I often wonder about the difference between being lazy and being content.Do we often mask laziness as being content? Are people who are truly content often mistaken as lazy? With so much emphasis on "making it",I often wonder what's so wrong about being second?Do you get to decide whether you "made it" in life,or do others make that decision? Is there an age limit by which one must have "made it",beyond which it makes no point to try because it would not count? What are the paramters on which one is judged as to have "made it"?What happens if there is a conflict between your parameters and those of others.Whose decision counts? Can someone who excels in one dimension of his life, and completely fails in the other be considered a success? Is he better than someone who is just about okay in all dimensions?Do you get to chose which dimension of life one wants to excel?Does trying count? Or is the bottomline more important? If you have tried but have nothing to show as a result, did it count in the bigger picture?

Laziness and Contentment go hand in glove.

The Lazy are more content as they have set their goals. They dont want to be The busy Bees or Headless chickens running all day putting long hours at work. They achieve whatever little in life with less efforts and in the longrun are happy and content because they got what they strived for. Have you read Peter Taylors book The Lazy Winner. I think its wonderful.
